In April 2024, Big Yellow Truck purchased Van Isle Septic's service operation — maintenance, pump-outs, inspections and repairs — and welcomed its team. We serve those customers, and the whole Nanaimo region, as Big Yellow Truck today.

01Under BC's Sewerage System Regulation the owner is responsible for having the system maintained to its maintenance plan and for keeping the maintenance records.
02Some local governments go further: in the Capital Regional District, five municipalities require Type 2 and 3 systems to be maintained by an authorized person every year, with a certificate of maintenance filed with the district, and Type 1 tanks pumped at least every five years (Bylaw No. 3479).
